Machine Manufacturer (R&D Tax Claim)
The company had been asked to develop sophisticated machinery for a blue chip car manufacturer to improve and enhance the use of carbon fibre in the construction of key automotive structures. Although the company had been partially funded for the project we compiled a claim that secured many £10,000’s of R&D Tax claim against non-recoverable development work.

Innovative Chemistry For Carbon Abatement Technology (R&D Tax Claim)
A Derbyshire based company had secured a research grant to develop novel chemistry to convert CO2 gas into sulphuric acid using complex catalysts and unique processes. We worked alongside the company to compile their R&D tax claim and secure a reduction in tax.

Advanced Technology Projects (grant funding) - private sector clients

We have assisted a number of companies to access grant funding - structuring the grant application (project plan, financial forecasts and market research) - managing the application process and in the majority of cases assisting in the management of the project itself.

MRI scanner room shielding technology development
Researched the availability of materials, their magnetic shielding capability & jointing technologies and developed a software package to predict the effectiveness of the shielding specified

Development of a novel design solution for application in the oil and marine industry

Developed a bespoke design of RTU for application in the airport industry

Hoist and Crane system development
Developed a high capacity, high height of lift crane system to allow the company to compete effectively with European manufacturers across the whole range of crane systems required by customers.

Advanced Technology Projects (VC funding) - private sector clients

Tyre recycling technology implementation
We were contracted to support a Midlands based recycling company with the writing of bespoke cash flow models, business plans, presentations and supporting documentation required to promote the company for VC funding. The contract also included the application for a Grant for capital expenditure to support the business model.

Algorithm based assessment tool
We worked with a company to develop a psychometric assessment tool and had secured some £135,000 of grant funding to get the concept to the stage of commercialization. We then worked with the company to prepare the necessary cash flows, business plan and investor presentation to secure equity funding. The company went on to secure over £150,000 of equity finance from a group of Business Angels.

Transport sector technology
We were asked to undertake a technical due diligence of a novel reporting technology for use in the highways repair sector whereby the owners of re-instatements (road repairs etc) could be readily identified – company, depth, date and licence number etc. We developed a corporate venturing proposition and introduced the company to a number of likely technology partners. The company secured in excess of £250,000 of technical, testing and compliance assistance in return for a small stake in the business and exclusive manufacturing rights. A great success story for a micro business to develop world beating technology into a huge legislatively driven market place. The technology is now being trialed by a number of councils.
