Energy Technologies in Buildings - private sector clients
We worked with a number of SMEs throughout the UK to develop projects, identify suitable funding sources and to assist in the progression of the projects relating to; development of natural ventilation products, improvement of energy efficiency in homes through the application of flexible control systems and the research into energy efficient and greatly more effective lighting for use in large external spaces such as hospital car parks, streets, warehouse transport docks etc.
We also assisted an East Midlands based company to secure funding to develop the East Midland’s first zero-carbon social housing demonstrator, to illustrate how an integrated ‘whole system’ approach can lead to truly sustainable dwellings at a realistic cost. With a clear focus on facilitating technology & knowledge transfer from three world-class regional Universities to the East Midlands construction sector supply chain, the project builds the significant knowledge base within the region.
Construction - public sector client
In accordance with its strategy for the transformation of services for the delivery of healthcare needs, the client required support in the development of strategic, outline and final business cases for justification of capital investment projects. We were responsible for the gathering of information from key stakeholders for review in order to develop the five stages of the business case (strategic, economic, commercial, financial, management) in support of a £900K project to build a hospital in support of the needs of children and adult patients with mental health issues.
