Development of a Regional Energy Action Plan - public sector client
We were contracted by emda to engage with regional businesses and key regional stakeholders and work with them to develop a business driven set of action plans to meet the challenges of the transition to a low carbon economy. To achieve this we established a set of working groups around exploitation/innovation, resource efficiency, infrastructure and skills with representatives from business, academic, public sector and energy stakeholders, and provided strategic support gathering, analysing and reporting data and information relating to the stakeholder groups. The stakeholders included organisations such as CREST, CENEX, EON, Boots, Rolls-Royce, Alstom, EU-Skills, East Midlands Association of Colleges, Empower Training, BGB Innovation Ltd, De Montfort University, British Geological Survey etc. The process was aimed at ensuring that representatives were gained from the energy sector supply chain, energy producers, business users of energy, representatives of support services and academics. Each group was managed to develop issues for resolution within the regions key strategic priorities and agree a set of priorities for action in this sector. These action plans were used to inform regional policy delivery.
