Process Improvement

Organisational Change – Defence Agency - public sector client

Following a drive by Central Government to improve cost and efficiencies, coupled with a subsequent increase in commercial competition, the client was required to consider its market proposition and operational effectiveness within the defence logistics sector. To assist the client with this review we successfully managed a project to analyse internal capability and the wider market environment. The output of this analysis was a number of detailed implementation projects to transform the capability of the organisation in order to enable it to deliver more effectively against its strategic objectives.

Activity Analysis and Process Re-engineering – Multimedia Broadcaster - private sector client

Following an audit of the operations of its outsource partners the client identified significant risk associated with the granting and terminating of access to its systems for sales agents. We managed a small team of consultants to review the shortfalls in the existing process to assess security, control and efficiency in accordance with best practice demonstrated elsewhere in this and other industries. The introduction of a dedicated internal resource to manage the process and the control this has afforded has significantly reduced the opportunity for fraudulent action.

Process Improvement and Value Realisation – Financial Services - private sector client

The client believed it may be able to leverage operational cost savings by reviewing the methods of procurement and management of its Print Services division. We managed the project which entailed a process mapping exercise to provide information to evaluate whether or not to outsource components of the division. The outcome was a decision to maintain the majority of operations in-house. The project is on schedule to deliver operational process improvements including; increased print volume throughput by 15% at current resource levels and savings on facility leases of £300K.
