Programme Management – Outsourcer - private sector client
A client sought support to develop from a predominantly transactional based outsourcer into a transformational outsourcer, focused on providing step changes in cost or customer service for its customers. As part of a team of consultants the following elements were delivered to the client; a charter for transformation, an objective, external assessment of the clients transformational capabilities compared with key competitors and a targeted communication strategy incorporating all aspects of the business.
Defence - Transport - public sector client
Following a government drive to save money and improve efficiencies within the defence sector and a subsequent increase in commercial competition in the defence logistics market, our client was required to consider its marketing strategy. Working with the business development team, we were initially employed to provide a detailed market analysis and internal gap analysis, with a number of implementation projects proposed to form a strategic recommendation. These projects formed the basis of a major delivery programme.
The programme consisted of 18 distinct projects with overall project management and varying degrees of practical involvement provided by us. These projects fit into four categories of market, customer, processes and competitor. As an example, with respect to internal processes, a full capability audit was project managed to provide the business with visibility of its present status and foresight of customer growth opportunities. Individual service elements were assessed across a range of criteria to enable the formation of improved propositions which more accurately reflected market demand and increased profitability.
