Offshore wind enabling consultant - public sector client
Renewables East was contracted to assist in the exploitation of the opportunities arising from the significant growth in offshore wind farm development off the east coast of England. Renewables East engaged TBAT Innovation on their panel of enabling consultants to assist in the delivery of emda’s programme. The support has involved engaging with regional businesses and promoting the opportunity for them to participate within the offshore wind industry. Helping to promote opportunities to visit trade shows, and conferences and helping businesses understand the route to funding development activity.
Offshore wind skills event - public sector client
A shortage of skilled engineers and project managers had been highlighted by the offshore wind industry as one of the barriers to growth. To promote awareness of the industry, the technology and the specific skills requirements, we were contracted by Renewables East to organise a number of training days for prospective employees with key industry employers. These events were successfully organised with strong engineer and employer representation, including E.ON, Suboceangroup, Converteam and Airtricity.
Rail - regional supply chain integration - private sector client
Irregular demand in the rail sector creates problems within prime manufacturing companies and the supply chain as a whole. In order to compete within the global economy, organisations within the sector therefore needed to develop competitive advantage through innovative approaches to the management of the supply chain. We worked in collaboration with the development agency on the project, supported by a key regional rail vehicle manufacturer, to develop a rail industry supply chain model to address fluctuations in demand and devise methodologies to control associated costs, quality and delivery implications.
