I’ve arrived at TBAT after spending much of my post-graduation life in research, product development and civil engineering testing. On the one hand, honing and refining processes, materials and methodologies to ensure a successful outcome and on the other hand, seeing what happens when none of the above have been adequately considered when it comes to bridge maintenance!
The synergies between my old life of working out why bridges were crumbling (and how to prevent them from doing so) and my role within TBAT might not be immediately apparent, however they share a forensic approach to data gathering, detailed data analysis and the reporting of headline outcomes to clients both big and small.
In joining TBAT I’ve found a role with a great balance between the three aspects of my previous roles which I enjoyed the most; detailed research, technical writing and getting out and about to talk to very clever people about their work.
Outside of work, when I’m not chasing my son around (currently 14 months old) I’m a relatively keen cyclist, DIY enthusiast and a hard rock and heavy metal fan – I’ll see you down the front!
